Scheduled Google Maps Lead Scraper: Apify Actor → Deduped Google Sheets Append

Problem: Building a local-business prospect list meant someone manually searching Google Maps by location and category, copying business details into a spreadsheet, and re-checking later runs to avoid duplicates.

Solution: Built an n8n workflow triggered on a schedule that fires an Apify Actor to scrape Google Maps results for the target search, returns the dataset through a Get dataset items node, reads the current rows in the destination Google Sheet, runs a JavaScript Code node to dedupe and shape the records, and uses an Append or Update Row node to write new or changed businesses back into the sheet.

Result: The prospect sheet now fills itself on schedule with deduped Google Maps leads, replacing manual search-and-copy with hands-off scraping.
