Member Onboarding Pipeline: Memberstack → Webflow Dashboard + Asana Project via Custom API
Problem:
When new members signed up through Memberstack, their live dashboard in Webflow had to be created manually, and their Asana workspace and project access had to be provisioned by hand, slowing onboarding and creating gaps in project visibility.
Solution:
Built an 8-step Zapier workflow triggered by a new Memberstack member. The Zap creates an Asana project for the member, provisions a live item in their Webflow dashboard, then updates the Memberstack record with the new references. It then attempts to find the user in Asana, on success, it adds them directly to the project via Asana's custom API action; on error (user not yet in workspace), it first adds the user to the Asana workspace via API, then adds them to the project. This Success/Error branching ensures every member gets full access regardless of whether they had a pre-existing Asana account.
Result:
New members now receive a provisioned Webflow dashboard and full Asana project access within seconds of signup, with zero manual onboarding steps.
